05 Feb The dreaded virus
As an entertainer and a Tom Jones tribute, your health is everything, especially having to bang out massive Tom Jones numbers every night, so when you’re not wellI then the things you take for granted like your voice and the energy that you put in to a show are severely tested The last few months though, Ive never seen so many acts go down with this latest virus to hit our shores this year. I’ve also been hit with it. I got the flu the first week in December, and no, its not a head cold I mean the real flu that puts you down for 10 days and I honestly felt like I was dying, I didn’t cancel a Tom Jones tribute gig because I know how difficult it is when a venue has advertised you all year and then the week of the gig they are told you’re not coming, so I will dose myself up and just get through it. That lasted till the end of December and then I was hit with the chest infection and sore throat throughout January, and now in February I’m still not 100%. When I go on Facebook now, everyone seems to have it and it’s lasting for months rather than weeks? I’ve now been taking antibiotics for almost a week, I never normally take anything but felt I had to try and rid myself of this lingering virus but it doesn’t seem to be having any effect! I think I’m need to find a witch doctor!
